Dean is the Early Childhood Interventionist at Melbourne Early Childhood Intervention.
An Early Childhood Teacher with over a decade of experience in early childhood education and disability, Dean has worked in a range of environments. These include mainstream and special education schools, metropolitan and rural kindergartens, and family homes. This has equipped him well to assist children and their families through the formative early learning years, whether that be in 1:1 therapy sessions, group play programs, or kindergarten and school visitations.
His approach centres on interventions that are responsive and adaptable to his learner’s needs and goals. His practice emphasises the social elements of learning, beginning most importantly with the relationship between teacher and learner.
Dean holds an undergraduate degree in Linguistics and Philosophy, and a postgraduate degree in Early Childhood Education. He is a registered teacher with the Victorian Institute of Teaching.
